As the festive season quickly approaches us, it is generally a time when loved ones are together with their friends and family. For many, this is the perfect opportunity to pop that all important question, “will you marry me?”
For those newly engaged couples, one of the first points to consider when planning the wedding is the venue. Once the venue is booked (and Registrars, Celebrant or Church), the rest of the arrangements can then start to fall nicely in to place.
There are many things to consider and lots of different requirements will be necessary for different couples. There is no ‘one size fits all’ in this scenario.
We thought it might be useful however, to highlight a few reasons and points for consideration about our venue; Hendall Manor Barns.
We offer the exclusive use of Hendall Manor Barns for the duration of your wedding.
We are a rural venue and not open to the public, which means you can relax and enjoy your time with us in a private and quiet setting.
You will be looked after attentively and comprehensively by the owners of Hendall. This is true from your first visit, right through the wedding ‘journey’ until the day after the Big Day!
We encourage you to come back and visit us as many times as you would like and to take advantage of our experience, by asking us for our advice and ideas (if you need/want it!)
Hendall provides superb scope for outstanding and original photography. There are many lovely backdrops and varied locations with fields, tracks, trees, orchards, ponds and private lawns, to name but a few.
We have a concise list of brilliant recommended photographers for you to consider. Of course, you’re more than welcome to choose someone who has not been here before. If so, we would perhaps get them to come and have a look at the surroundings prior to the day. They can then see all there is to offer and work out the best places for photographs for your wedding.
Our couples frequently refer to the intimacy that Hendall provided on their day.
Your friends and family will all be together within the main Stone Barn, the adjacent terrace or lawn, this means everyone can be with you for the day without lots of different spaces for them to disperse and wander off to!
You will have the opportunity of choosing the exact food you wish to have served on your wedding day. No packages or set menus!
We have a list of wonderful professional approved caterers, all of whom have a fantastic knowledge of the venue and what works well etc… As food is likely to be the biggest expenditure, we believe it is important to get it right. We don’t charge corkage, so there can be a fantastic saving to be made.
We have a beautiful, historic and highly unusual 17th century sandstone barn which is available to couples and/or their families for the nights either side of the wedding day.
In addition to the Barn, we have a charming converted Piggery. Both these accommodation possibilities offer a great, fun and memorable addition to your time with us. We can accommodate up to 7 guests on a self-catering basis. This allows you to create your own choices for dinners and breakfasts on either side of the wedding.
Of course, there are many more reasons and unique offerings here but we won’t spoil the fun by telling you them all. Come and see us and you can learn more about what we have to offer here at our lovely venue; Hendall Manor Barns.
