A Civil & Celebrant Ceremony at Hendall Manor Barns

We have held many civil ceremonies or partnerships and celebrant led ceremonies at Hendall, from many clients in East Sussex and West Sussex and welcome friends to Hendall from even further afield.

Our reputation goes before us due to the fabulous caterers we work with, the stunning venue and the amazing Sussex views.

Civil Ceremonies

Civil ceremonies can take place anywhere within our glorious and part 17th century sandstone barn. Couples can arrange the seating in whatever layout they desire, either for an intimate gathering or for a much larger number of guests, with our maximum capacity being 150.

There are certain protocols to follow, but we will explain these and how to create a very special occasion.

If you are considering holding your ceremony at Hendall with a Registrar, you will need to book directly with the East Sussex Registration Service: ceremonieshub.east@eastsussex.gov.uk 0345 608 0198. This will ensure that a registrar is available on your chosen date and time.

A fee is payable to East Sussex Registration Service on booking a Registrar in addition to our fee for holding civil ceremonies at Hendall – either as part of an all-day wedding reception or for a ceremony only and short reception.

Celebrant Led Ceremony

We have a number of wonderful Celebrants who are known to us and will offer a personalised ceremony to suit your style and will get to know you over the course of planning your wedding.

If you are considering a Celebrant led ceremony, we can put you in contact with some fantastic local Celebrants who will work with you and your partner to design every detail of your ceremony.
