Lovingly restored, Hendall Manor Barns is a very beautiful, private, wedding and events venue in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.
Our glorious split-level Stone Barn is very adaptable for weddings and receptions of all sizes, including small & intimate, as well as formal dining, ceremonies and dancing.
Two converted barns provide versatile accommodation depending on your requirements. Spacious three bedroom converted Old Granary has space for 8 and our Cart Barn, recently renovated for 2.
Hendall provides a considerable space both within and directly outside that is full of character, that can be adapted for a multitude of different uses.
The Venue here at Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.
The Stone Barn is an impressive building, almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels connected by steps and a ramp.
The Old Dairy, formerly the old milking parlour offers a flexible and comfortable conference/studio room.

We and our guests had a lovely day and quite honestly would recommend Hendall to anyone who wants a beautiful setting at any time of the year to have any type of celebration. Being able to stay on-site made it even easier! Couldn’t have gone any better, we had all we wanted and more and look forward to celebrating again on an anniversary down the line

We had our wedding breakfast and evening disco at Hendall Manor in August this year. It was a stunning venue and my husband and I fell in love with it, from the moment we stepped in the door. The service was excellent and we had the confidence knowing our wishes were carried out to the letter. We had such an amazing celebration and so many compliments on the venue from family and friends.
I would highly recommend Hendall Manor for your special day. You will have a day to remember for the rest of your lives.

Hendall is such a beautiful place to be even in early April! We always had Hendall in our minds for our special day and although ours wasn’t your typical ‘Wedding’ day and with only 4 months to organise everything as we had a particular date in mind, you all helped make it easy. We even managed to get the BBQ done outside at the beginning of April against all the odds!

The Cart barn was a beautiful place to stay set in a stunning location with amazing walks right on your door step. Nicola was welcoming and friendly and met us when we arrived. The interior of the barn was beautiful and a lovely place to relax in the evenings. It was east to find and away from main roads so at night it was wonderfully quiet and dark so we could see the stars!
Our dog loved it, particularly the stock of rabbits in the orchard that he failed to catch despite valiant efforts!
Loved this place and will book again!

There are so many things to consider when choosing the perfect wedding venue, in fact it can be thoroughly overwhelming. Read why Nicky & Ben chose to hold their wedding here at Hendall, a Sussex Barn Venue which will hopefully help you decide that Hendall Manor Barns could be for you.
The barn has amazing original character with some wonderful large internal spaces for socialising and playing games. We visited in November when the weather wasn’t great and really enjoyed the snooker and table tennis. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchens modern and well-equipped. The location is beautiful, with great walks locally to inviting pubs. It’s a place we would love to return to, perhaps in the summer.
