Lovingly restored, Hendall Manor Barns is a very beautiful, private, wedding and events venue in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.
Our glorious split-level Stone Barn is very adaptable for weddings and receptions of varying sizes, including small & intimate, as well as formal dining, ceremonies and dancing.
Two converted barns provide versatile accommodation depending on your requirements. A spacious, three bedroom converted Old Granary for up to 8 and The Cart Barn, recently renovated for 2.
Hendall provides a considerable space both within and directly outside that is full of character, that can be adapted for a multitude of different uses.
The Venue here at Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.
The Stone Barn is an impressive building, almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels connected by steps and a ramp.
The Old Dairy, formerly the old milking parlour offers a flexible and comfortable conference/studio room.

Stayed here with three couples and three babies. The place is beautiful and big with lots of things to keep you entertained in the house – we particularly enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables! Nicola was an incredibly helpful host with good recommendations for local pubs with great food (would definitely recommend The Hurstwood pub).

We got married at Hendall in May 2026, and it was truly more perfect than we ever could have imagined.
When we started planning our wedding, Hendall was the first venue that we viewed. We viewed several more afterwards, but needn’t have bothered, because we quicky realised that Hendall was exactly what we were looking for, and couldn’t stop comparing the other venues to Hendall!
Throughout the planning and preparation stages the team were so helpful, giving useful suggestions, responding to queries quickly, and just generally helping to keep us organised. They made lots of recommendations for trusted suppliers, particularly helping us to decide which caterer would best suit what we were looking for.
It was so important to us that we had exclusive use of the venue for the whole weekend, as we didn’t want to feel rushed or hurried. We were able to set-up on the Friday afternoon, enjoy the ceremony on the Saturday, and then move everything out again on the Sunday morning.
So many of our guests commented on how beautiful and perfect the venue was, and we felt that it was naturally such a lovely space that we didn’t need to go over-the-top with the décor.
We also stayed in the stunning on-site accommodation both the nights before and after the wedding, which was perfect. It was so relaxing to be able to wake up on the morning of the wedding and know that we were just a 60 second walk away from the venue! There was plenty of space for myself, my bridesmaids, and the mother of the bride and mother of the groom to all get ready at the Old Granary on the Saturday morning, and the same for the groom & groomsmen in the Cart Barn.

Choosing Hendall Manor Barns for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the one — we didn’t even need to look anywhere else. Hendall Manor Barns is an absolutely stunning venue in an idyllic part of East Sussex. We immediately fell in love with the rustic yet contemporary aesthetic of the main barn, and the beautiful surrounding grounds.
Right from the start, Nicola, Viki and Peter were always on hand to help with planning. Unlike other venues, they have a broad selection of recommended caters to suit every style and cuisine. They are clearly experts at what they do and were always available to suggest how to make our wedding day vision come true. We always felt that they cared about every aspect of our wedding, and that we weren’t just another couple passing through in their busy schedule.
On the day, they ensured everything ran perfectly smoothly, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests all had a wonderful time and constantly commented on how gorgeous Hendall was.
