Lovingly restored, Hendall Manor Barns is a very beautiful, private, wedding and events venue in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.
Our glorious split-level Stone Barn is very adaptable for weddings and receptions of varying sizes, including small & intimate, as well as formal dining, ceremonies and dancing.
Two converted barns provide versatile accommodation depending on your requirements. A spacious, three bedroom converted Old Granary for up to 8 and The Cart Barn, recently renovated for 2.
Hendall provides a considerable space both within and directly outside that is full of character, that can be adapted for a multitude of different uses.
The Venue here at Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.
The Stone Barn is an impressive building, almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels connected by steps and a ramp.
The Old Dairy, formerly the old milking parlour offers a flexible and comfortable conference/studio room.

The Cart barn was a beautiful place to stay set in a stunning location with amazing walks right on your door step. Nicola was welcoming and friendly and met us when we arrived. The interior of the barn was beautiful and a lovely place to relax in the evenings. It was east to find and away from main roads so at night it was wonderfully quiet and dark so we could see the stars!
Our dog loved it, particularly the stock of rabbits in the orchard that he failed to catch despite valiant efforts!
Loved this place and will book again!

We had our wedding at Hendall in September ’23. Nicola and Viki are very good at what they do. They are very efficient and knowledgeable. From day one they were there if we needed help with anything. You aren’t just hiring a venue at Hendall, the team are there to help throughout the day, whether that be taking charge of playing your ceremony music, fanning out your dress throughout the day or helping you to escape when you need a breather.
The venue itself is naturally beautiful and because of that it doesn’t need a lot of decoration. We had an intimate ceremony of 30, and the space didn’t feel too big. Our evening guests of 60 filled the space nicely, with plenty of room left to dance, mingle at the bar and chat outside on the terrace.

That’s exactly the question Vicky & Steve were faced with earlier this year. As the Government announced an easing on wedding restrictions to allow up to 30 attendees, many couples were faced with this daunting decision. Should they have a Sussex barn small wedding?
We are so lucky that we always seem to attract lots of creative couples that want to, above all create a day filled with lots of individuality and fun. On 16th July 2022 Livi & Alex held their creative barn wedding at Hendall and it certainly contained an abundance of both of these.
After viewing Hendall Manor Barns and meeting Viki, Nicola and Peter we knew we were in safe hands when it came to our wedding day. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful venue and associated accommodation. It was also comforting having Hendall’s expertise, along approved list of quality suppliers, ensuring everything went to smoothly.
Overall, we had the perfect wedding day and we can be certain it wouldn’t have been the same if it were anywhere else!

We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Hendall Manor for our wedding. We had our wedding at Hendall last weekend. Nicola, Peter & Viki were fantastic from the start of the booking process 2 years ago! Very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The venue speaks for itself, it is absolutely beautiful & I’m so glad we chose it for our day! There are plenty of great photo opportunities within the grounds of Hendall too. We booked the accommodation – the old granary and the cart barn which were equally wonderful. It made the day even more special, knowing that we would be staying at Hendall with our nearest and dearest the night before and the night of the wedding! Highly recommend Hendall for your day. We will absolutely come back to stay in the cart barn again!
