Lovingly restored, Hendall Manor Barns is a very beautiful, private, wedding and events venue in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.
Our glorious split-level Stone Barn is very adaptable for weddings and receptions of varying sizes, including small & intimate, as well as formal dining, ceremonies and dancing.
Two converted barns provide versatile accommodation depending on your requirements. A spacious, three bedroom converted Old Granary for up to 8 and The Cart Barn, recently renovated for 2.
Hendall provides a considerable space both within and directly outside that is full of character, that can be adapted for a multitude of different uses.
The Venue here at Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.
The Stone Barn is an impressive building, almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels connected by steps and a ramp.
The Old Dairy, formerly the old milking parlour offers a flexible and comfortable conference/studio room.

Perfect, peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. Nicola and Peter were friendly, welcoming & responsive while at the same time unobtrusive – for a secluded stay. Welcomed with a quick property tour to find our bearings (& the all important pool)!
Local info / maps provided inside property. I particularly loved the history provided, clearly well researched & interesting!
The property & surrounding areas are beautifully maintained with modern, colourful yet cozy decor. The open plan space made a small barn feel more than big enough for us, as a couple.
Barn was clean with everything you need. The bath was lovely & deep plus a great rainfall shower! The bed & sofa are super comfy (v.important)!
We were just at the end of swimming pool season, so got to enjoy a brisk morning swim, just a short walk from the barn.
Surrounded by the gorgeous Weald countryside / woodland literally on the doorstep! To top it off we also got a morning visit from the dogs, which made our day! Thank you!

Wonderful location, stunning building. We appreciated so much the swimming pool and the tennis court as well as the ping-pong table. The hosts have been very helpful and always available to give suggestions.

An outstanding stay in a fantastically beautiful barn and surroundings. What a charming area and quintessential English countryside location. The Cart Barn was pristine and extremely well equipped throughout including a high end finished bathroom. We brought our dog here and they slept all the way back home with us. That’s always a good sign!
Very comfortable bed and relaxing sofa in which to digest the House’s history, fascinating!

We had our wedding at Hendall last weekend. Nicola, Peter & Viki were fantastic from the start of the booking process 2 years ago! Very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The venue speaks for itself, it is absolutely beautiful & I’m so glad we chose it for our day! There are plenty of great photo opportunities within the grounds of Hendall too. We booked the accommodation – the old granary and the cart barn which were equally wonderful. It made the day even more special, knowing that we would be staying at Hendall with our nearest and dearest the night before and the night of the wedding! Highly recommend Hendall for your day. We will absolutely come back to stay in the cart barn again!

Hendall is such a beautiful place to be even in early April! We always had Hendall in our minds for our special day and although ours wasn’t your typical ‘Wedding’ day and with only 4 months to organise everything as we had a particular date in mind, you all helped make it easy. We even managed to get the BBQ done outside at the beginning of April against all the odds!
