Lovingly restored, Hendall Manor Barns is a very beautiful, private, wedding and events venue in the heart of the East Sussex countryside.
Our glorious split-level Stone Barn is very adaptable for weddings and receptions of all sizes, including small & intimate, as well as formal dining, ceremonies and dancing.
Two converted barns provide versatile accommodation depending on your requirements. A spacious, three bedroom converted Old Granary for up to 8 and The Cart Barn, recently renovated for 2.
Hendall provides a considerable space both within and directly outside that is full of character, that can be adapted for a multitude of different uses.
The Venue here at Hendall Manor Barns consists of three interconnecting buildings (The Stone Barn, The Old Dairy and a caterer’s kitchen in the former Calf Pens) surrounding a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace.
The Stone Barn is an impressive building, almost 100ft in length and is arranged on two distinct levels connected by steps and a ramp.
The Old Dairy, formerly the old milking parlour offers a flexible and comfortable conference/studio room.

Tucked away down a country lane, Hendall Manor is surrounded by a plethora of beautiful, historical buildings two of which are dedicated to onsite accommodation. Stayed here with three couples and three babies. The place is beautiful and big with lots of things to keep you entertained in the house – we particularly enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables! Nicola was an incredibly helpful host with good recommendations for local pubs with great food (would definitely recommend The Hurstwood pub).

We had our wedding at Hendall in September ’23. Nicola and Viki are very good at what they do. They are very efficient and knowledgeable. From day one they were there if we needed help with anything. You aren’t just hiring a venue at Hendall, the team are there to help throughout the day, whether that be taking charge of playing your ceremony music, fanning out your dress throughout the day or helping you to escape when you need a breather.
The venue itself is naturally beautiful and because of that it doesn’t need a lot of decoration. We had an intimate ceremony of 30, and the space didn’t feel too big. Our evening guests of 60 filled the space nicely, with plenty of room left to dance, mingle at the bar and chat outside on the terrace.

We had our wedding at Hendall Manor barns in June 2023. Hendall was the first venue we visited and we knew we didn’t need to look anywhere else. Nicola and Peter have created the most stunning venue – immaculate and beautifully restored – it is the most perfect, breath-taking place that also feels so relaxed and welcoming.

We had our wedding breakfast and evening disco at Hendall Manor in August this year. It was a stunning venue and my husband and I fell in love with it, from the moment we stepped in the door. Lovely brand new converted barn. Great amenities, great countryside location – shops and country pubs only a few miles away. Nicola and Peter were super friendly and welcoming. We wished we had found this place earlier during our stay in England.

Nothing was too much trouble for Nicola, Peter and Viki and our guests were raving about how well they day was run. The on-site accommodation is perfect for getting ready and relaxing before and after the day. Being dry-hire we were able to design everything just the way we wanted, but Hendall shared their expertise on supplier recommendations and they were all faultless. There’s truly nothing we would have changed about our wedding day and we couldn’t recommend Hendall more.
