Are you looking for a small and intimate Sussex barn wedding venue? One of the biggest joys of Hendall has been the immense variety of weddings and other events held here. We have from the outset given our clients huge scope and encouragement to design their own day in the most stress-free way possible.
For those not wanting to wait until summer 2021, there really are lots of ways to celebrate by putting quality before quantity. Having an intimate Sussex barn wedding here can be adapted to comply with existing Government Restrictions and any subsequent variations that may relax these rules in the months ahead. There are so many ways to celebrate on a smaller scale and spend less into the bargain!
Hendall provides a highly versatile set-up and we have over the years hosted many beautiful and intimately arranged winter weddings. Our glorious sandstone barn looks amazing bathed externally by floodlights; internally lit with candles, tea lights, fairy lights and up lighters, despite its size is surprisingly cosy. The building is underfloor heated, adding to its snug warm feel.
For small, intimate weddings we can offer a range of dry hire fees based on the duration of your day. Whether you might like a ceremony followed by a short reception with canapés, an afternoon tea or a full-on wedding breakfast, we can adapt our costs accordingly. We can also discuss having your ceremony here within the next few months. (Yes it can be done!) And maybe have a follow up lunch party next summer. Two parties for the price of one!
We have prided ourselves in not going with the flow and encouraging couples to concentrate their efforts and expenditure on what really matters – the ceremony and the catering. This is no less relevant under the current restrictions which do provide opportunities to rethink your day and to revel in doing things differently. Therefore, with the current restrictions, couples are being creative in order to get the most from their day.
After all, your marriage ceremony is why why you will all be here. We encourage couples to get the most from the ceremony itself. Why gallop through it when there are all sorts of ways to make it even more special. You may even decide to follow the initial legal ceremony with a second informal one which you could embellish with vows and readings.
We are a family owned business built around a highly attentive and homely approach to doing things as well as possible. By actively engaging with your chosen caterer, you can make sure that your guests have been beautifully looked after and they will talk about how wonderful the day was for years to come. Our no-corkage approach provides a great opportunity for considerable savings and choice .
The best way of approaching this is to come and see us. We can then get a feel for what will work for your budget and give you some ideas to take away and think about. If you are looking for an intimate Sussex barn wedding venue, simply call or email us and we can arrange an appointment for you.
We look forward to seeing you.
