Laura and Adam’s beautiful wedding is the perfect example of how a day can be both effortlessly stylish and completely family-friendly.
Nicola, Peter and Viki made our whole day special and made sure everything ran smoothly. The venue is just stunning, inside and out. We are so pleased we were able to get married here. It suited us all for all our needs as we could stay in the on-site accommodation the night before too. There are so many different places for photo opportunities, the possibilities are endless. I was able to put my own stamp on the venue, using all the bits I had spent time crafting to add little touches to make it so special to us.
Thank you again, we really did have the most perfect day.

The barn has amazing original character with some wonderful large internal spaces for socialising and playing games. We visited in November when the weather wasn’t great and really enjoyed the snooker and table tennis. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchens modern and well-equipped. The location is beautiful, with great walks locally to inviting pubs. It’s a place we would love to return to, perhaps in the summer.

Wedding speeches are an integral part of any wedding ceremony, and they offer an opportunity to express your feelings and gratitude towards the newlyweds. It is an opportunity to share your thoughts, memories, and wishes with the wedding couple, their family, and friends.
We are so lucky that we always seem to attract lots of creative couples that want to, above all create a day filled with lots of individuality and fun. On 16th July 2022 Livi & Alex held their creative barn wedding at Hendall and it certainly contained an abundance of both of these.
Our wedding day turned out even more beautifully than we could have ever imagined, and so much of that is thanks to this incredible venue and team. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond, and were highly organised, attentive and genuinely caring. Every detail was thoughtfully handled and we felt completely supported throughout the whole process.
The venue itself is stunning, but it’s the warm, approachable team that truly made it special. It all flowed so seamlessly and we’re beyond grateful!

Wonderful property in a fantastic location. Nicola was a great host and very responsive. We enjoyed playing snooker, table tennis, tennis and the swimming pool. Lovely walks and pubs in the vicinity.

We had a fantastic family weekend at the beautiful stone barn. It was a great stay for relaxing, exploring and enjoying the countryside. The tennis court, pool table and table tennis provided plenty of entertainment, and the house had plenty of room for everyone, including a high chair and travel cot which were a nice touch for us. Nicola was a friendly and accommodating host, on hand whenever needed but we felt we had our own space.

After viewing Hendall Manor Barns and meeting Viki, Nicola and Peter we knew we were in safe hands when it came to our wedding day. We immediately fell in love with the beautiful venue and associated accommodation. It was also comforting having Hendall’s expertise, along approved list of quality suppliers, ensuring everything went to smoothly.
Overall, we had the perfect wedding day and we can be certain it wouldn’t have been the same if it were anywhere else!

That’s exactly the question Vicky & Steve were faced with earlier this year. As the Government announced an easing on wedding restrictions to allow up to 30 attendees, many couples were faced with this daunting decision. Should they have a Sussex barn small wedding?
Nothing was too much trouble for Nicola, Peter and Viki and our guests were raving about how well they day was run. The on-site accommodation is perfect for getting ready and relaxing before and after the day. Being dry-hire we were able to design everything just the way we wanted, but Hendall shared their expertise on supplier recommendations and they were all faultless. There’s truly nothing we would have changed about our wedding day and we couldn’t recommend Hendall more.

Molly & I are so extremely grateful for everything you’ve done which has helped gift us with the best wedding day. Our favourite position generally being background characters in events, we were approaching the day with a bit of anxiety and stress about all the attention and business of the day, however, we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Everything ran so smoothly, the food was delicious, the waiters and helpers were wonderful and the venue provoked a lot of amazing feedback. Everyone absolutely loved the day.
Once again, thank you for all you have done, your venue is amazing, we had a gorgeous day with gorgeous weather (somehow!!) and it was such a pleasure to get to know Peter & Nicola and the whole team at Hendall.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at Hendall Manor Barns in September 2024.
From start to finish all was perfection and we had the most wonderful, memorable day.
Nicola, Peter and Viki, were charming and could not have been more helpful. At the initial meeting with Nicola and Viki, they went through every detail of what we might like to consider from the layout of the tables to flowers to photographer, etc., etc. including a substantial list of recommended caterers. We chose Elliott Catering and were blessed with Lisa who was equally delightful, helpful and organised.
Hendall Manor Barns are set in beautiful countryside, between Crowborough and Uckfield, at the end of a long driveway. The buildings themselves are attractive, stone construction making a lovely light and airy venue. There is a pleasant terrace and inner courtyard for guests wishing to take a break or enjoy drinks before or after the main event. There is ample parking, under cover and close to the venue.
Our guests wrote afterwards to say what a wonderful day it had been, how much they enjoyed themselves and are still mentioning it nearly six months later! Several guests who live locally, commented that they were unaware such a charming and delightful spot existed and they would definitely bear it in mind for a future occasion. There was also high praise for Lisa and her catering team.
The care and consideration that was shown to us from start to finish was faultless. We cannot recommend Nicola and Peter highly enough. It was like a second wedding reception without the nerves.
