Gina and Simon; one year on!

We love nothing more than hearing from our couples with their news, post wedding and wanted to write a blog post looking back at one of our Hendall couples.

This post features one of our 2019 couples, Gina and Simon, to tell you about their achievements and adventures, just a mere year on from their Sussex wedding day which was held here at Hendall Manor Barns in May 2019.

Gina and Simon were such a friendly and delightful couple to work with in the lead up to their wedding day. Gina was the epitome of organisation and planning, whilst Simon provided us all with lots of laughter and smiles with his silly sense of humour!

So, one year on, where are they now and what has the last year had in store for them?

Firstly, we are over the moon to announce that they have just had their first child together, due on Friday 1st May, but making her arrival into the world on 3rd May!  We did wonder if she might end up be an anniversary baby if she decided to hold tight for a week or so, but she is here, just a few days short of their one year anniversary. Congratulations you two!! Now they have all the excitement, sleepless nights and complete adoration to look forward to over the next few weeks, months and years!

Whilst the baby occupies a huge proportion of Gina’s time, her amazing wedding stationery and graphic design business, Gable and Grain, may need to just be put on to the back burner for a wee while until life finds some sort of new normal!

Gable and Grain is run from Gina and Simon’s sweet little oasthouse at the bottom of their garden where all of her designing and foil production takes place.

This is not only a new home for Gable and Grain, but for Gina and Simon too! Yep, as well as a new baby, and the launch of her new stationery business, they have also bought a house since their nuptials! They are now the proud owners of a 17th century former pub in the heart of the Kent countryside and we were pleased to hear that they officially moved in just a few weeks ago.

Simon is a racing driver and has raced against incredibly established opposition to become champion of various karting competitions many times over. Last year, after their wedding day, Simon competed in the Ginetta GT4 Super Cup; a sports car racing series based in the UK.

What a fantastic year this couple have had since their wedding at Hendall. So much has happened for them and so much more yet to come!

We wish them both all the very best for their next big adventure and can’t wait to keep hearing more news from them as their relationship continues to flourish.
