Wonderful property in a fantastic location. Nicola was a great host and very responsive. We enjoyed playing snooker, table tennis, tennis and the swimming pool. Lovely walks and pubs in the vicinity.

The Cart Barn is lovely. It’s perfect for a private, peaceful few days away. Pristine inside and comfortable. There’s a good-sized swimming pool to cap it off! The owners were very helpful. Will definitely book again.

Hendall is the most magical place to get married! We had looked at a series of local venues but as soon as we saw Hendall and spoke with Peter we knew this was exactly where we wanted to get married! Peter, Nic and Viki are so wonderfully organised with superb advice making every step so simple, totally stress-free, joyful and productive.
It is a fantastic venue for all weathers and we had a Ceilidh in the evening that fit so well with the barn feeling. It is a stunning interior with such character. They keep the venue is pristine condition and completely personalise the experience.
It is a very special venue, a very generous and kind team and we feel so privileged to have been married there.

That’s exactly the question Vicky & Steve were faced with earlier this year. As the Government announced an easing on wedding restrictions to allow up to 30 attendees, many couples were faced with this daunting decision. Should they have a Sussex barn small wedding?
We stayed in the big barn the night before and the newly renovated 1 bed, cart barn the night of the wedding. Both are so lovely and would go back and stay there outside of the wedding! Thank you so much for making it more special than we could have ever have imagined!

An outstanding stay in a fantastically beautiful barn and surroundings. What a charming area and quintessential English countryside location. The Cart Barn was pristine and extremely well equipped throughout including a high end finished bathroom. We brought our dog here and they slept all the way back home with us. That’s always a good sign!
Very comfortable bed and relaxing sofa in which to digest the House’s history, fascinating!

Nicola, Peter (NP, we named them ‘no problem’ as they could sort anything and everything!) and Viki were brilliant in making our day run like clockwork, guiding us through the process to make sure it was organised, fun and individual, just what we wanted. Having such fantastic accommodation on site was also a really bonus.

The barn has amazing original character with some wonderful large internal spaces for socialising and playing games. We visited in November when the weather wasn’t great and really enjoyed the snooker and table tennis. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchens modern and well-equipped. The location is beautiful, with great walks locally to inviting pubs. It’s a place we would love to return to, perhaps in the summer.

Georgie and Ross had to postpone their wedding several times due to Covid but finally on a sunny day in October 2021 they were third time lucky! It was an absolutely beautiful October wedding.

Choosing Hendall Manor Barns for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the one — we didn’t even need to look anywhere else. The mix of beautiful old architecture, soft light, and modern touches gave it such a special atmosphere that felt completely us.
Nicola, Peter, and Viki were incredible from start to finish. Their warmth, care, and attention to detail made us feel so supported throughout the whole process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we knew our day was in the best hands possible.
The grounds are breathtaking — every corner feels like it’s made for photos — and they gave us the most magical backdrop to remember our day by.
We also loved the recommended supplier list; it made planning so much easier and introduced us to some truly amazing people who helped bring our vision to life.

Molly & I are so extremely grateful for everything you’ve done which has helped gift us with the best wedding day. Our favourite position generally being background characters in events, we were approaching the day with a bit of anxiety and stress about all the attention and business of the day, however, we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Everything ran so smoothly, the food was delicious, the waiters and helpers were wonderful and the venue provoked a lot of amazing feedback. Everyone absolutely loved the day.
Once again, thank you for all you have done, your venue is amazing, we had a gorgeous day with gorgeous weather (somehow!!) and it was such a pleasure to get to know Peter & Nicola and the whole team at Hendall.

We recently had our wedding here, from the initial viewing to the actual day itself Nicola and her team were beyond helpful. The grounds and venue have so many great photo opportunities, and staying on site was perfect as it meant everyone was together and ready for the morning!
