West Sussex Venue for Exhibitions and Presentations

Based in the heart of the Sussex countryside, we are now seeing many new customers come to visit us from all over the South East of England, especially East and West Sussex, as we are so close to the county borders.

At Hendall we specialise in wedding receptions, civil ceremonies, conferences and parties. However, we love to do something different and are now promoting ourselves as a West Sussex venue for exhibitions and presentations as well as hosting charity events and workshops.

Our Venue

Art exhibitions, book launches, lectures, award ceremonies, photo- shoots all work brilliantly in the Stone Barn due to great lighting and really good acoustics.

In 2012 we saw As You Like It performed here and a fully subscribed classical concert. We have seating for up to 130 attendees, a sound system and disabled access throughout.

It is immediately apparent from visiting Hendall just how appropriate the buildings are for show casing, displaying and photographing all works of art.

A locally based company specialising in the manufacture of bespoke stone and metalwork furniture and sculptures used Hendall last year for an internal and external photo-shoot.

Film companies would find several practical and aesthetic reasons to consider using Hendall for a shoot.   The split level Stone Barn provides a natural stage for musical and dramatic performances. Open air theatre using the raised terrace as a stage and the lawn below for an audience relaxing on picnic rugs or deck chairs would be superb.

We have had recent award ceremonies and the Stone Barn would work brilliantly for a specialist talk or lecture.  Photographs and film can easily be projected.

We also have our self catering 17th Century stone cottage that sleeps up to 6 people, which would possible be ideal for various scenarios.
