30.07.2021 was the best day of our lives. The happiness started just three months before when Peter showed us around their beautiful barn. It was actually quite a dark and rainy day when we first looked which was actually really good as it showed us how amazing the venue could be even without the unpredictable sun.
Once we had confirmed that we wanted to book the barn it was all systems go. Nicola was absolutely wonderful and told us everything that we would need to do and a clear timeline of when to do them. We were pretty clueless and didn’t even realise we had to give notice and so were very grateful for the guidance! Nicola then kept in regular contact checking on our progress and making sure that they had everything ready at the barn. We then met with Nicola two weeks before the wedding and gave a timeline of the day so that on the day we could relax and take all of those stresses away (thank you Nicola!!).
The day finally came and we we able to go into the barn the evening before to set everything up. I then stayed in the barn with my bridesmaids and my mum – it was such a lovely evening and so perfect to wake up and be at the venue – it was so exciting! We could look out the the window in the barn and see everyone arriving. We actually got married the weekend after lockdown lifted and so it was incredibly special to see everyone after such a long time.
All of our gusts said how beautiful the barn was and our photos are so diverse because of the different locations around the venue. The barn does not need a lot of dressing as it is so beautiful – we just added a few little touches and it was perfect for us. We feel so lucky to have found the venue and are so grateful to Nicola, Peter and Harriett who really made our wedding a day to remember.

Dear Nicola, Peter, Harriet & Viki
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for everything, both on our wedding day and the many, many (!) more month/years leading up to it. We truly have loved every single minute of the wedding and it was 100%worth the wait.
We couldn’t have been happier to get married at Hendall and our guests all loved it, so thank you for all that you do – wishing you all the best for the future!
Thank you again,
Georgie & Ross

Dear Nicola and Family
Thank you so much for all the hard work and organisation that went into making our big day so special. We had such a happy day and I hope the photo, on your swing, shows this!
Everything was really beautiful and, whilst I know my super Mum was behind a lot of it, I also know how much you helped out. We are really very grateful.
Hope to see you soon,
Tash and Chike

I had an amazing time photographing a wonderful wedding few weeks ago. The team at Hendall Manor Barns were absolutely amazing. The venue is very well looked after and the owners have a really good eye for the details. I cannot wait to return for more wonderful weddings in the future.
A couple of tips for couples planning their wedding here: Plan multiple photoshoots around the sun. Early in the day, I would suggest to have a walk around the pond stopping by the double swing. There are so many large trees to give soft light in the shadow so it’s perfect during the day. Later on, during sunset, have another walk at the front of the land so you can have the setting sun and the hills as your backdrop. Use the terrace and courtyard for your guests to mingle, as there is a large outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. Arrange sparklers to end the day with some magical moments.

Where do I begin? I have nothing but glowing reviews for Hendall Manor Barns and the team. (Nicola, Peter, Viki and Harriet) We first visited in May 2019 and knew as soon as we’d done our visit that it was the wedding venue for us – stunning, impeccably kept, so well thought through and great accommodation. Covid caused havoc for all weddings, but we felt incredibly grateful to have chosen Hendall for their understanding and flexibility with rearrangements, moving from September 2020 to April 2021 and then October 2021, and it was 1000% worth the wait.
We had the BEST weekend ever (having the accommodation both the night before and night of, which I can’t recommend more for anyone considering it ) and loved every minute of it – Hendall Manor Barns is a truly beautiful venue with amazing photo opportunities, but they have also mastered how to run a wedding well for everyone and have a great time, so they have amazing advice and a great list of recommended suppliers:) If you are considering Hendall for your wedding, I cannot recommend it more!

We cannot recommend Hendall Manor Barns enough. From our very first viewing, we knew that it was where we wanted to get married. It’s such a beautiful venue, offering loads of gorgeous spots outside for photographs.
The barn itself is really impressive on it’s own, but the space absolutely allows you to make it what you want it to be, and give it the unique feel of your wedding day. (It is also very wheelchair friendly, which was really important to us!)
Nicola, Peter, Viki, and Harriet went above and beyond to provide us with the very best service from day one. We did not plan to get married in the middle of a pandemic, but the support we were given during lockdown blew us away, and Hendall hosted our 13 guest ceremony in October 2020 and our 50 guest sequel wedding and reception in October 2021. Both were perfect days thanks to the care, attention and organisation of the team. (As an aside…the self-catered accommodation is STUNNING and really spacious and we highly recommend the bridal party getting ready there in the morning.)
