Testimonials

January 2020

Myself and my husband Toby had our wedding at Hendall. It was a truly magical day and we can’t thank Nicola, Peter and Harriet enough for all they have done. From our first inquiry to managing the day itself the whole experience was smooth and stress free, actually we enjoyed it.

The venue and the surroundings are beautiful, even in January and many guests commented on how stunning everything looked.

The onsite accommodation, both the cottage and wedding suite, were beautiful furnished and made the big day much easier to manage.

We would recommend Hendall to any couple out there, you won’t be disappointed and you will have a truly wonderful day here.

Thank you again –

Hendall Manor Barns

My husband and I got married here a few weeks ago.
A stunning venue with extremely helpful owners and staff. They guided us from day one and know exactly what they are doing and you can tell they love weddings.  They gave us a fantastic list of recommended suppliers which was very useful to help us get started planning and were always on hand whenever we had questions. The venue allows you to be as creative as you like and there is lots of space to do so. They were very supportive through the ongoing changes from Covid in which we had to rearrange our wedding dates/guest numbers.

The day ran so smoothly thanks to the Hendall team who helped. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, a beautiful barn in the countryside. Wonderful for photos whatever the weather, lots of space both indoors and outdoors. We loved the accommodation which we were able to use the night before and evening of. The night before I stayed with my bridesmaids and it’s the perfect place to relax before the big day, it’s spacious, well-equipped and great to be able to wake up at the venue ready for the big day.

I would highly recommend Hendall Manor Barns for a wedding due to its beauty and the amazing staff!
Thank you all.

October 2020 – Barn Holiday Accommodation

We loved staying in Nicola’s barn conversion. We stayed for 4 nights with our two young children, and had a lovely time. The barn was warm, comfortable and lots of fun.
The children loved their bedroom, the stairs and the snooker table. My husband and I loved the underfloor heating, the rustic interior and the beauty of the surrounding properties and nature. Nicola was really quick in her responses and there wasn’t anything we can think of to improve about the stay.

Hendall Manor Barns October 2020

We got married here a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing day.
The venue is beautiful and the team were so organised with all aspects of the day, which was so appreciated due to the frequent changes of plans due to Covid! I knew they weren’t going to forget anything which made everything so much easier for us.
The accommodation on site is also lovely and it was a real treat to stay in the Piggery on our wedding night.

September 2020 – The Barn Holiday Accommodation

When you arrive at Hendall you very quickly understand that you are part of a working, country home and feel instantly welcomed. The barn was a very comfortable stay for us and we loved having access to the hosts tennis court and pool – both of which we were made to feel very welcome to.

The area is secluded, but doesn’t feel like you can’t access amenities like a great Waitrose up the road and a general store a bit closer for last minute emergency bits. The area is fantastic for walking & pub lunches – and to be honest that is how we spent our time in Heron Ghyll. I highly recommend using the public walkway down to the “local” The Foresters Inn which serve pub grub all day and are very welcoming. The walk is fab through the forest! We love our food, so explored all of the local eating joints – have to call out the Sunday roast at The White Hart & the lobster lunch for The Dorset Arms. Went for dinner at Griffin Inn and this was pretty great too. Oh yeah, don’t forget to have a cream tea at The Duddellswell Tea Room.

We also really enjoyed exploring the retro vinyl collection at the barn whilst playing pool in the evening! Great touch with the old school hi-fi system. We left feeling very relaxed, so job done.

Thank you Nicola & Peter!”
