Florist in the Forest is our next supplier in the spotlight and in our opinion an inspirational florist. Katherine was our last florist through the doors of Hendall before lockdown. Her eucalyptus chandelier will forever be remembered by all who were lucky enough to see it on the day. Although Craig Payne captured it beautifully, sadly there was no way to capture the scent unless you were there!

Katherine grew up in Tunbridge Wells and always loved gardening, nature and the great outdoors which is where her love for floristry began. Being brought up with very green fingered parents and living near a forest, it is no surprise that she finally found her calling as a florist.
Having lived in Manchester with her now husband, as a Visual Merchandiser in fashion retail, one day in 2006 she took the leap and decided it was the perfect time for a career change. She returned to Sussex to study Floristry at Hadlow College and hasn’t looked back.
From there she worked in a lovely village florist shop before setting up her own business in 2011, perfectly named Florist in the Forest.
We knew Katherine was a great fit for our couples when she told us….. “In recent years many couples have been requesting substantial and eye-catching installation pieces to give their weddings a real sense of personality and uniqueness, which I absolutely love to create. I have a very abundant and romantic natural style, allowing the flowers to do the talking. Combining seasonal ingredients with lots of texture, scent and interest, I love to include a few flowers from my own cutting garden for that personal touch.”
