Crowborough Venue for Courses and Workshops

Hendall is an ideal place to hold any kind of creative, artistic, musical, dance or culinary group activity. It is a great Crowborough venue for courses and workshops as we are located on the A26 between Uckfield and Crowborough – a very private location yet with very easy access.

The Studio/Conference Room, known as The Old Dairy has been used for art classes, the caterer’s kitchen for cookery classes and The Stone Barn for singing groups.  There is tremendous scope for courses, demonstrations, tutorials, training and teaching.

To date we have welcomed water colour painting classes, willow weaving, a children’s’ ‘Olympic Cookathon and a one day ‘butchery course’. We have also hosted a two day course for midwives.

The layout at Hendall is versatile enough for combined theoretical and practical courses, using the conference room for teaching and our caterer’s kitchen in tandem for demonstrations and hands on activities.

The conference/studio room, which has artist’s north facing skylights and two sinks, can be arranged to fit the size of class and the type of activity planned.

During the week even the smallest groups from Crowborough are welcome and our dry hire fee largely depends on the numbers envisaged and our availability.  We can, on occasions compete financially with local village halls and civic centres to provide an attractive alternative destination.

This Crowborough venue for courses and workshops is in a beautiful and private location, but very easily accessible. We are seeing more and more customers come and visit us from Crowborough and the surrounding towns and villages in East Sussex.
