For many couples, their wedding ceremony may not be held in the same venue as the rest of their reception and evening party.
Here at Hendall Manor Barns, we are able to offer the option for a ‘ceremony only‘ followed by a drinks reception and some photographs here, before our couples, their friends and family move on to the reception.
For some couples, all they wish for is a ceremony, either legally binding using a Registrar, or using a Wedding Celebrant to personalise and and tailor the ceremony accordingly.
Our beautiful Stone Barn is licensed for wedding ceremonies and, as a dry hire venue, we are able to allow couples to dress the venue as they wish and make use of the stunning split level space as creatively as they can.
Our gorgeous Bentwood chairs are yours to use and simple flowers or decorative bows work wonderfully to add a pop of colour and sense of occasion to the aisle and seating arrangements.
There are numerous ways the ceremony can be set up inside the Stone Barn. A traditional straight aisle on the lower level is what our couples more commonly choose, but we have had curved aisles and, for smaller guest numbers, the upper level has been used as an intimate space for the ceremony to take place.
We are licensed by East Sussex County Council and work closely with the Registrars in the nearby town of Crowborough. They help to guide our couples through the legal paperwork and wording required to solemnise their marriage.
A Wedding Celebrant is a popular choice for many couples if you want to add personal touches to create your perfect ceremony. If so, a Celebrant (as opposed to a Registrar) would definitely be the best option. We have a number of lovely celebrants we work with and recommend.
As a dry hire venue, we do not have wedding packages which allows you the perfect space in which to host a ceremony only option here with us.
Our pricing, for such an occasion, would be based very much on a bespoke basis.
No two weddings here are the same.
Considerations for the overall cost for a ceremony only or with a short reception, would depend on a few factors. These include time of year/day of the week, along with the number of guests and if our couples wish to stay on for an hour or so after their ceremony to relax on our stunning terrace, enjoy drinks & canapes, along with some wedding photographs around our well manicured grounds.
